All kids are capable of reading. In fact, about 98% of children can read with explicit, adequate instruction. Simplified Reading is targeted instruction based on the science of reading. Intervention focuses on phonics, fluency, comprehension, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and oral comprehension.

How does intervention work?
Initial assessments will be administered to assess your child’s needs. A prescribed plan will then be implemented. Intervention will begin, and your child will be monitored every 8 weeks.
What grades do you service?
Grades K-4.
Can you teach my kid how to read?
Absolutely. All kids can learn to read. In fact, about 98% can learn to read. While there is not a magic bullet to reading, there are a number of things that can help with reading. Learning to read is a process, and not an overnight remedy. There are many skills that have to be worked on. The good news is that all kids can learn to read!
What can you do about comprehension?
Teaching kids to understand a text is an achievable task. It is however, a process. With a strategic plan, comprehension will come more easily.
My child is dyslexic.
Simplified Reading is based on the science of reading. Dyslexia is a disorder in the brain that affects reading and spelling such as working memory or letter recognition. Many of the strategies used in Simplified Reading benefit dyslexic students.
Can you help my child with spelling and writing?
Reading, writing, and spelling are all connected. In the English language, there are specific rules of spelling. Simplify Reading promotes reading, writing, and spelling through conventional rules of spelling based on the science of reading.
About Me
Reading is a right, not a choice. I realized early on that I was proficient in teaching reading when my struggling students would grow exponentially by the end of the semester. Their confidence and smiles assured me that I was doing the right thing. As I progressed in my teaching, I was placed in “turn around” and founding schools where the need for reading intervention was great. I surpassed all expectations and went above and beyond for my students. It became apparent that reading was my passion. More so, it was my life’s purpose. I teach reading in a simple, clear manner. Whether your child is struggling with comprehension, or you want your child to become a better reader- Simplified Reading makes reading clear, understandable, and simple for children.
